And there’s simply no better way to see out the Old Year. On Tuesday 31 December, cyclists and walkers will converge on the village to participate in GrootbrakGrabadoo, which this year celebrates its 21st anniversary. Many participants will have previously enjoyed the camaraderie and good cheer endemic to this event, but there’s invariably a troupe of first-timers at the starting line, too. So no matter if you’re a Grabadoo novice or veteran, you’re sure to be blown away by the glorious views and quaint rural scenes en route.
