Big Walk – Autism Awareness 2020

ONLINE entries closed

Due to the surge in Covid-19 infections in the Garden Route, the organisers have decided that the responsible way to go is a VIRTUAL WALK.
We can still contribute to our special needs community and be safe and healthy!
You are invited to register online for the BIG WALK until 15 December 2020.  To collect your medal AND goodie bag, all you have to do is visit Pick n Pay Family Supermarket George and present your proof of registration.
Please remember to post your BIG WALK by BINAH selfie on Facebook and Instagram with #binah1100 #legacycentreg

1.Our Big Walk is the only of its kind hosted in the Garden Route;

2. The BIG WALK coincides with National Disability Rights Awareness Month which is from 3 November to 3 December.

3. December is the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and is also celebrated as National Disability Rights Awareness Day. The event is organised by the npo Binah and Legacy Centre (a centre for children with special needs) – both organisations initiated by parents of an autistic boy. The Van Deventer family saw the need for one on one tutoring for children in a familial environment.

4. The Garden Route Botanical Garden is encompassed by forest & surrounded by nature – the perfect setting for a fun family event!

5. Registration is from 07:00

6. Walk from 08:00 – 10:00
