Rules

  • Cheques payable to Crusaders Athletic Club, P.O.Box 63865, Greenacres, 6057
  • Free entry for licensed athletes 60 years or older.
  • Pre-entries close on 28 November 2007 at 17h00 at Brian Bands, Brocketts, Footballer, Sportsman Warehouse, William Moffett Centre, Action Sports Summerstrand and Humewood.
  • Registration and late entries at the Lorraine Primary Pavillion, Marne Avenue, Lorraine from 17h00 to 20h00 on 30 November and from 04h00 on 1 December 2007
  • Temporary licenses are available at R15.00 each
  • 2007 ASA License numbers to be worn on back and front of vest.
  • Age category identification tags to be worn on front and back of running vest to be eligible for prizes.
  • Race run in accordance with ASA and EPA rules.
  • Toilet facilities only available at finish.
  • Results will be posted to participating clubs.
  • It is regretted that participation in wheel chairs is not allowed.
  • Running with animals is not permitted
  • Runners or walkers with prams or baby joggers are not permitted on the marathon and are to start at the back of the 10km race.
  • Disabled or blind runners who require to be accompanied may only make use of guides who have officially entered the event.
  • Participants still on routes at cut-off times are to retire from the race.
  • Watering points every 3 km.  No seconding is allowed.  The stand and hand rule within 100 metres of watering points rule will apply.
  • Foreign athletes are to comply with IAAF and ASA Rule 4.
